Hard work truly paid off, congratulations on achieving new heights! Our very own Monument Valley High School Junior, Kylie Dodson becomes the first female to win Indian National Finals Rodeo Junior Breakaway. Dodson broke down barriers when she won the event in the INFR debut.

Jon Sombrero provided our AFJROTC students with extended opportunities outside of school to showcase their hard work in and around the Kayenta Community. He played an integral part in supporting our students off campus. Mr. Sombrero has provided a myriad of resources to our senior as their sponsor.

Sharon Atene provides great leadership skills within her dept., ensuring our building is clean and ready to go each day. She coordinates with her staff to ensure that our building is ready for any event we host. She does all of this with a smile on her face and a warm welcome each day.

Congratulations to Leighton Williams for being nominated August student of the month. Leighton is a junior student-athlete and has demonstrated outstanding academic and extracurricular success while here at MVHS.

We would like to recognize Andrew Singer as one of our Staff of the Month for August. Mr. Singer has gone above and beyond to ensure that the beginning of our school year was off to a great start.

Congratulations to 70th Miss Navajo Nation Valentina Clitso. Ms. Clitso is an alumna of Monument Valley High School and attended Arizona State University for undergraduate studies.
